Sunday Church School
The sacred promises we make as a church to our children at baptism spur us in our efforts to offer the best children’s program we can. Primary aspects of our Sunday morning (9:30am) church school for children and middle schoolers include:
Nursery Care
Opening time for worship
Godly Play (for preschoolers)
Kingdom Makers’ Workshops for K-5th graders that feature Bible-story-based lessons: drama in Tent and Temple Productions; art expression in the Thou Art room; video or live witness accounts and discussion in The Vineyard; storytelling, reflection, and journaling in Mary & Martha’s Bed and Breakfast; games and other learning activities in Father Abraham’s Arcade. (Based on the Workshop Rotational Model)
6th-8th grade class that focuses on developing a broader understanding of the Christian faith and its application to issues of daily life often faced by middle schoolers.
The weekly offerings in our church school support our participation in the United Church of Christ’s Child Sponsorship Program through which our children help to care for the basic needs of a Palestinian child.
